WIN this Vintage Grape Basket!

Welcome! How would you like to have this Vintage Grape Basket (Door Hanger) absolutely FREE? It's so easy. I am looking for YOUR design ideas. So tell me : "How would you use this item in YOUR home?"

The pail is made of metal and embossed with design "inspired" (of course!) by the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. I can just picture similar buckets being carried by workers in the vineyards! It features a leather strap and a flat back for hanging.

To enter the contest, simply comment on this post and tell me how you would use this in your home. Each comment will be entered in a drawing which will be held on May 6 at 7 p.m. EST.

Product will be delivered or shipped to the winner by July 31, 2011.

I can't wait to see all your ideas!

  1. I would hang this in my kitchen and fill it with some faux flowers and possibly a bunch of faux grapes! It would go perfectly with my kitchen decor! :)

  2. I was also thinking that it would look great in the kitchen with fake grapes. But I bet you could do something really cool with it in the bathroom. Maybe flowers in the bathroom.

  3. I would fill this with silk flowers and hang it by my front door!

  4. I think I would silk sea grass in it and have it hanging down the sides and then hang the basket beside my Aquarium. I think they would compliment each other.

  5. In the bathroom with some purple ribbon around the top and purple towels.

  6. I would use it as a mail catcher/organizer in the office. It would be much nicer to look at than an old plastic bin!

  7. I have a sort of different idea. My Momma passed away in 2003 and I would love to use it to honor her LIFE and LIFE now of her kids and Grandkids as they grow. I would swap it out each month/season...whenever I wanted to really. Example for fourth of July find small pictures of American flags and have me Godson and my nephews color them and I would put a current picture of them on their flag . ( Also , for this month I would also include something for members of our family who were or are involved in the military.) Use red, white, and blue flowers and small flags. I would put cardboard on the colored flags and get picks from store to put them on. Each time the kids pictures (and Grandkids) would change as they change now. For her birthday I would do a Clemson Tiger one....( she loved them tigers....she would watch on tv and she woould cheer and yell so much she would loose her voice. I hopefully could make or fing orange small footballs to do an arrangment in with something Gamecock with my sisters 3 boys as my sister went to USC. My Godson ( also forgot my "4 legged babies" would have a part in this to...Clemson ORANGE paw prints...LOL. Ok , so I have rambled on. But this inspired me because my Momma gave us our first good daily china set. Phalzcraft grape vine that I wnated and through the years and moves they are no longer around. This would hang on my Godson's bedrrom door at my house as my Momma loved kids and only lived to see her 1st Grandkid. My sister's 1st boy. I am unable to have kids due to health issues and she loved my "4 legged babies...they knew her as Grandma Diane and she would love my 3 year old Godson. The outside of his door is in my living room where it can be seen daily by all .Thanks for reading this. Any ideas of how to do this even if I don't win would be GREAT !!God Bless! Thanks for this opportunity Gina !God Bless you!!!!
